The goal of Othernet is to provide a free, global data broadcast. The broadcast is currently available in parts of North America and Europe through the SES-2 and Eutelsat 8WB geostationary satellites. The forums are the best place to learn more and discuss Othernet with other users.
The sales of official Othernet data radios are used to pay for the contracts with the various satellite operators. Over the years, there have been several requests by existing customers and supporter to fund the increase of download speeds and expansion of coverage area. The purpose of this website is to accept contributions for this purpose.
