Introduction

The FreOne Foundation aims to support enterprising people who are currently experiencing hard times due to sub-optimal life circumstances. The foundations approach is project oriented. The foundation provides funds, equipment, knowledge and an internet based backbone aimed at working together remotely. At the moment the foundation is active in Kenya and Uganda.

FreOne strives to achieve positive financial results of the projects in its portfolio, so hopefully the beneficiaries of the foundation will be able to reach an independent acceptable standard of living given some time. To get things started the foundation will campaign to raise funds so now and then.

Current Funding Campaign

Currently we need funds for three laptops that will be provided to some beneficiaries of the foundation, so we will be able to test our in house developed Business Management System together. This BMS is based on the Linux operating system, the language Python is used to automate different kinds of tasks that are necessary to keep the foundation running.

The minimal specifications for the laptops are under investigation, they need to be reliable and rugged because of the decentralized nature of the foundation. A goal of 2250 Euro / 2700 USD seems reasonable. See https://freone.org/introduction.html#projects for details.
